LADOSAN DHAHAR

Kedaton Ambarrukmo Heritage Site, built in 1857, was once the royal residence of Sultan Hamengku Buwono VII following his abdication. Today, guests can experience the atmosphere of royal living through a unique dining experience rooted in Javanese palace traditions.

The royal luncheon or dinner ceremony begins with the Jodhang procession, where Abdi Dalem (Royal Servants) in traditional attire carry a Jodhang (wooden box to carry meals and offerings) containing Sultan’s favorite dishes. This ceremony recreates the way meals were once presented to the Sultan.
